Job Description
Summary
The Wealth Management Associate candidate will report to the CEO and the advisory team.
The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator who can deliver world-class client experience. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented, and can execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Looking for a self-starter/motivated candidate with at least 2 years’ experience preferably in the financial services industry
- Candidate will provide assistance to the team on a variety of products and services offered by the firm.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and the ability to learn the financial markets.
- Assist in client meetings, preparing and follow-up including assembling paperwork, report generation, appointment scheduling and post-meeting documentation.
- Ability to attend meetings throughout the Hudson Valley in our satellite offices with a senior advisor and work evenings as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong knowledge of the markets, investment management and financial planning a plus
- Ability to manage client relationships.
- Assist prospects / clients plan for short- and long-term goals with primary focus on retirement planning and wealth management.
- Prepare reports, assist advisor in constructing financial plans, assist with meeting preparation and post meeting responsibilities.
Education/Experience
- 2 years of work experience - preferably in the financial services industry
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, Morningstar or other portfolio management software a plus
Licenses, Registration
- Series 7, 66 (or 65 and 63) registrations preferred (or ability to obtain through firm sponsorship)
- State Insurance license preferred (or ability to obtain)
