Job Description

Training & Development Specialist, Direct Hire. Monday - Friday, 1st ShiftThis role supports the Director of Training and Development in providing consistent and effective training to credit union employees. The goal is to enhance employees' skills and align them with the organization’s culture and mission. The position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining training programs, coordinating training sessions, and managing materials.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with leaders and experts to create effective training solutions.
  2. Develop and deliver training for new hires, leaders, and compliance, based on industry standards.
  3. Identify organizational training needs and address skill gaps.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends and maintain program quality.
  5. Manage relationships with third-party training vendors.
  6. Mentor team members and act as a Subject Matter Expert.
  7. Regularly consult with departments to adapt training based on process changes.
  8. Update materials for regulatory and process changes.
  9. Seek process improvements within departments.
  10. Maintain training spaces, equipment, and materials.
  11. Track and maintain training records.
  12. Communicate training opportunities to staff.
  13. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
  14. Assist with special projects and reports.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business preferred or 3-5 years of experience in training and curriculum development.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial Institution regulations and BSA compliance.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Strong project management, communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Corporate Experience
  • Instructional design experience (creating curriculum, activities, quizzes/tests. etc.)
