Job Description

Will manage the fast-paced day to day activities of the Shelter which involves creating and managing program content and initiatives; 
  •   S/he must have full working knowledge of all Shelter policies and procedures as well as the NYS OTDA, NYS DOH and DC Department of Community and Family Service regulations and ensures the Shelter program is in compliance.  
  • This position is responsible for being on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide leadership, supervision, and direct support to the Shelter Program Team.  
  • The SM will support, implement, and promote the Agency’s Vision, Mission and Credo.   
  • Must be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the program / regulatory requirements and the clients which will include some evenings and weekends.  
  • Shelter experience a must
 QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related field with three years’ experience in shelter or supportive housing operations, and community engagement with at least three-years supervisory experience.
  • Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, and coaching a strong team of staff.
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Must have and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license.
$80,000/k per year and exceptional benefits package.
