Quality Technician
General Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician responsible for ensuring product quality and adherence to operational methodologies. You will inspect products, develop, and document methodologies to assure product quality, and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
General Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician responsible for ensuring product quality and adherence to operational methodologies. You will inspect products, develop, and document methodologies to assure product quality, and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute activities in all Quality Work Instructions, including:
- Inspecting the physical condition of purchased and manufactured products
- Reviewing production documentation and records for completeness
- Documenting and reporting quality discrepancies using Discrepancy Reports, Setup Reviews, and Material Review reports
- Inputting data into the Company’s database(s)
- Maintaining records, drawings, and other data related to Product Quality
- Develop and implement methodologies and procedures to assure product quality, including:
- Creating, controlling, and implementing Inspection forms for custom-manufactured items after reviewing item and job specifications
- Drafting and submitting quality-related Instructions and Forms for standard items as directed
- Handle photography and photographic processing for Work Instructions, Quality Documents, and photographic records of finished products, resale items, and other business applications
- Undertake any other tasks deemed necessary by management
- Minimum of 1-year quality assurance experience in a job shop environment
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Excellent technical writing, written, and verbal communication skills in English
- Working knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Proficiency in operating a personal computer, including data entry, internet, email, and programs such as Syteline, Word, and Excel
- Photography and image processing knowledge, including the use of digital cameras, lights, and image processing software (Adobe Photoshop, Windows Picture, etc.) to prepare photos for company use
- Ability to operate inspection equipment and draft work instructions describing their use
- Ability to interact with vendors and customers to discuss quality issues
