Job Title: Purchasing Agent
Location: Goshen, NY
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 annually

Seeking Purchasing Agent to support procurement and inventory operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring materials are available to meet production demands. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to balance multiple priorities while collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
Responsibilities:
  • Review inventory, forecasts, and demand to determine purchasing needs, create and manage purchase orders, and maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP system.
  • Monitor supplier confirmations, delivery schedules, and inventory levels while expediting critical orders and resolving supply disruptions.
  • Solicit supplier quotes, compare pricing, support sourcing initiatives, and resolve invoice, pricing, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Prepare purchasing reports, maintain supplier and item data, and ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 2–5 years of purchasing, procurement, materials, or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective supplier relationships. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS/ASCM are a plus.
