Our client, in business and providing careers for the last 75 years is looking for a dynamic team member to add to their engineering team. The Process Engineer plays a key role in supporting and coordinating various processes involved in the manufacturing of injection-molded rubber products. This position is responsible for overseeing molding efforts during new program launches, ensuring the existence and accuracy of applicable records, revising manufacturing processes, and assisting in continuous process improvements. By monitoring process effectiveness, the Process Engineer quantifies results, documents findings, and presents reports to management to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Documentation and Reporting: Ensures the proper documentation of all process development and troubleshooting activities, including parameter records, corrective actions, and performance data. Prepares and presents detailed reports to management, outlining progress, findings, and areas for improvement. Keeps all stakeholders informed on project status and key deliverables.Training and Mentorship: Provides guidance and training to process technicians and other manufacturing staff to ensure adherence to procedures and to enhance team competency. Assists in the development of training materials and ensures ongoing skill development in process management, troubleshooting, and equipment operation.Compliance and Safety: Ensures all processes adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality guidelines. Monitors safety procedures to minimize risk and ensure a safe work environment for all team members.REQUIREMENTS Associates Degree in Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or other applicable academic background.Have US citizenship or have the ability to obtain legal US citizenship 3+ Year(s) work experience in a Manufacturing Facility.1+ Year(s) work experience in an Elastomeric (or Polymer) organization where injection molding occurs.Must have a strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing process parameters, identifying discrepancies, and making adjustments to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.Ability to quickly assess and resolve complex problems in the manufacturing process, balancing both short-term solutions and long-term improvements.Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Quality, and Engineering, to optimize processes and resolve challenges.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSLean Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.Six Sigma Certification: Experience with Six Sigma methodologies or certification is a plus, especially for continuous improvement efforts and statistical analysis.
