Job Description

Job Title: Painter / Technician
Location: Rock Tavern, NY
Salary: $25 to $35 hourly

Join a collaborative and creative team that prepares and finishes high-profile artworks using professional autobody techniques. Work with a variety of materials—bronze, aluminum, fiberglass, and steel—applying high-end finishes in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare artworks using sanding, sculpting, and body filler techniques
  • Apply and assist with primer, paint, and clear coats
  • Finish surfaces to a high standard: color sand, polish, inspect
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years in paint or bodywork (automotive, sculptural, or related fields)
  • Strong skills in surface prep, filler application, and fine finishing
  • Ability to interpret artistic context for finishing decisions
  • Experience with aluminum, bronze, and fiberglass
