Remote Appeals & Complex Motions Attorney
Confidential Litigation Firm – Remote | NY Bar Required
A well-established litigation firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its team remotely, focusing on complex motion practice and appellate work. This role is ideal for a skilled legal writer with a strong foundation in civil litigation and dispositive motion strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and prepare complex motions (summary judgment, dismissal, in limine, post-trial)
  • Handle appellate briefs for both appellant and respondent sides
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy
  • Conduct detailed legal research and analysis
  • Review trial records, court filings, and supporting documentation
Qualifications:
  • JD and active NY Bar license (NJ license a plus)
  • Strong background in legal research and writing
  • Experience in civil litigation, motion practice, and appeals
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Proficient in Westlaw and Microsoft Office
