We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing, including digital marketing, social media management, content creation, and market research. If the position becomes full-time, it will include responsibilities in membership retention, engagement, and administrative support.Key Responsibilities:
  • Membership Communication: Manage the calendar of deliverables, including email blasts, social media posts, advertising, and general Chamber communications.
  • Campaign Support: Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns for Chamber events and initiatives.
  • Social Media: Create and schedule social media content; update event information as needed.
  • Website and Content Management: Assist with website maintenance and content updates.
  • Promotional Materials: Help design flyers, graphics, and online content.
  • Event Coordination: Support event logistics, promotions, and attendee outreach via GrowthZone.
  • Virtual Meetings: Coordinate logistics for virtual meetings.
  • Community Engagement: Attend networking events and represent the Chamber, with some events occurring outside standard working hours.
  • Membership Support: Conduct check-in calls to maintain member relationships.
  • Payments and Collections: Assist with payment processing for events, memberships, or sponsorships; support sales and collections if the role becomes permanent.
  • Member Profiles: Update membership profiles per member or management requests.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Canva, Constant Contact, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable making collection calls, as needed.
  • Experience with social media platforms (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passionate about supporting local businesses and community development.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Preferred: Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Working Hours:
  • Monday-Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary for breakfast meetings or mixers)
  • Friday: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
