Salary Range: $78,000 - $90,000 (Based on Experience)Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to join our team in Newburgh, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating personal injury claims, handling underinsured motorist cases, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including defense counsel and insurance carriers.Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate assigned claim files to maximize value within defined parameters.
  • Act as a primary information source for defendants and underinsured carriers regarding personal injury claims.
  • Manage incoming calls from potential clients, assessing cases to determine acceptance, referral, or rejection.
  • Ensure accuracy of case data and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Document case activity, including calls, demands, and offers, to ensure seamless file transitions.
  • Provide case updates to relevant parties as necessary.
  • Serve as a resource for other departments and provide guidance when needed.
  • Support trial staff with coverage and negotiation status updates.
  • Maintain an effective diary system to track file progress.
  • Assist walk-in clients in the absence of an attorney.
  • Contribute to team discussions by sharing insights and developments.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster in New York.
  • Experience with auto, general liability, and labor law claims preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to assess claim values effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain organized documentation.
  • Knowledge of personal injury claims processes and insurance regulations.
