Seeking an Electrical & Communications Technician to assist the master electrician and develop trade skills. This role supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and communications systems in a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical wiring, lighting systems, and communications cabling including data and fiber optic lines
- Support troubleshooting, blueprint reading, tool handling, and safe operation of electrical and test equipment
- Maintain safe and clean job sites; manage tools and materials inventory; collaborate with contractors and other trades
- Respond to emergency situations, inclement weather, after-hours events, snow/ice removal, and assist with ceremonial or burial preparations as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with 2–3 years of trade school or on-the-job training and minimum 2 years of electrical experience
- Experience in commercial and residential electrical maintenance; knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and basic NEC code references
- Proficient with hand and power tools; computer literate; able to work at heights and lift as required
- Strong communication skills in English, detail-oriented, safety-focused, reliable, and able to manage time effectively
