Job Description

Job Title: Human Resources Assistant
Location: Newburgh, NY
Salary: $18 to $20 hourly

Seeking Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations, including employee data management, benefits administration, and compliance tracking. This role is critical to maintaining accurate HR systems and providing strong internal support within a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Process and maintain employee records, HRIS data, and personnel changes with a high level of accuracy
  • Administer benefits including enrollments, updates, invoicing, and employee support
  • Track compliance requirements, certifications, and generate HR reports and audits
  • Respond to employee inquiries and support recruiting efforts, onboarding, and HR operations
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Strong communication, customer service skills, and ability to handle confidential information professionally
