Job Title: Financial Director
Location: Newburgh, NY
Salary: $85,000 to $90,000

Nonprofit Seeking a Financial Director to lead all accounting functions and ensure full financial and grant compliance. This role partners closely with executive leadership and the Board to maintain financial integrity, support strategic initiatives, and oversee day-to-day fiscal operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow analysis, and month-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, grant requirements, and all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage audits, tax filings (990/1099s), reconciliations, and internal controls
  • Lead budgeting process, supervise Bookkeeper, and collaborate with leadership on financial strategy
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in nonprofit environments
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel/Word
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and grant compliance; excellent communication and analytical skills
