Job Title: Finance Associate – Contracts
Location: Middletown, NY
Salary: $23 to $25 hourly

Seeking Finance Associate responsible for ensuring accurate and timely vouchering of contracted programs, maintaining contract inventory records, and supporting compliance with HUD and other funding requirements. The ideal candidate brings nonprofit accounting experience, strong technical skills, and a commitment to integrity, accountability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit HUD and other funder vouchers in accordance with billing schedules and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain comprehensive contract inventory records, including funding cycles, renewals, and program details
  • Monitor program spending, assist with forecasting, and support budget realignment as needed
  • Track payments, post deposits in Fund EZ, generate financial reports, and support annual audit preparation
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with five (5) years of bookkeeping experience
  • Required nonprofit accounting experience
  • Demonstrated experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Fund EZ and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance standards
