Job Title: Director of Staff Development
Location: Middletown, NY
Salary: $75,000 to $78,000 annually

Seeking a Director of Staff Development to lead agency-wide training initiatives and support a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and quality service delivery. This senior leadership role oversees training programs across program service areas while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, agency policies, and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development, scheduling, and delivery of training programs for residential, day, supported employment, community services, and other program areas.
  • Manage orientation, staff development, training materials, trainer development, and the agency’s electronic learning management system.
  • Partner with program leadership to identify training needs, support quality outcomes, and promote a learning culture focused on retention and career development.
  • Lead and support program initiatives, training-related funding opportunities, and continuous improvement efforts aligned with agency goals and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, preferably in staff development, training, program services, or a human services environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email systems, databases, spreadsheets, and electronic learning management systems; must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
