Job Title: Director of Finance (CFO)
Location: Middletown, NY
Salary: $100,000 to $110,000 

Nonprofit seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all financial operations, with a strong emphasis on government grant management and compliance. This executive-level role partners closely with leadership and the Board to ensure financial integrity, sustainability, and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and internal controls
  • Manage and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local grant funding requirements
  • Lead annual audits, financial reporting, and serve as liaison with auditors and stakeholders
  • Supervise finance team and collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and risk management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, MBA, or MPA preferred)
  • 7–10+ years of senior-level financial leadership experience, including government grant management
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations including 2 CFR 200 and nonprofit fund accounting
  • Proven experience with audits, financial systems, and leadership of accounting teams
