Executive Program Officer
Work as a strategic partner with Senior Administration and the Board of Directors to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the Agency’s programmatic functions and performance.
Responsible for the oversight and overall management of all agency programs (Adult and Family Shelter, Call Center, Street Outreach, all Housing First programs, Sullivan County Case Management, Support Services, Safe Options Support, Food Pantry and more), client services, regulatory and compliance requirements as well as, adherence to internal policies and procedures. The candidate will join a highly collaborative organization, and directly supervise Directors that support the primary functions of the programs, and oversee staff, as well as direct the services delivered to individuals and families, and manage the resources that support them. This position is responsible for being on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide leadership, supervision, and direct support to the Program Teams. Must be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the program / regulatory requirements and the clients (May include nights and weekends).
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
1. Master’s degree in Public Administration, Health, Social Work, Human Services Management, or related field, additional credentials a plus (e.g. LCSW, LMHC)
2. 5+ years progressive leadership experience in a non-profit service environment preferably in a complex or multi-service organization, with success in developing and implementing comprehensive programs of comparable size.
3. Knowledge of the principles, organizational function, and administration of community services, including but not limited to substance use, mental health, and homelessness.
4. A team builder who has experience in managing organizational change including complexity of systems and communication between programs. Strength in mentoring and coaching a team with diverse levels of expertise.
