Job Title: Billing Specialist
Location: Middletown, NY
Salary: $23 hourly
Seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support daily financial transactions, reconciliations, and managed care billing functions. This on-site role requires strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Post and reconcile financial transactions, review accounts for discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues independently
- Manage Medicaid/Medicare and behavioral health insurance billing, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Maintain and update vendor and employee profiles, create reports, and prepare reconciliations for monthly and annual audits
- Track transaction trends, prepare managerial reports, and maintain organized documentation and filing systems
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Prior experience with Medicaid/Medicare managed care billing and behavioral health insurance billing
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Word and database software
