Job Description

FULL TIME Secuity Guard   11pm-7am $20/hr.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Provide security services in order to maintain a safe and secure environment for the residents.
  • Interact with tenants and monitor their behavior.  Maintain a good rapport by providing excellent customer service.  Encourage tenants to comply with facility policy and procedures.
  • Perform Crisis Intervention to de-escalate potential crisis situations and document all such situations and interventions.
  • Answer in-house resident calls; assist tenants with respect to safety, security, and building operations.
  • Make calls to police, fire department and other first responders, as directed.
  • Perform receptionist duties at the operations desk.  Monitor video surveillance cameras and fire alarm notification system.
  • Initiate and follow up all investigations of crimes or illegal activities committed against property and tenants.
  • Lessen loitering within designated areas.
  • Ensure documentation and disposition of daily logbook.
  • Must be able to identify security and safety risks.
  • Responsible for completing incident reports for injuries, accidents and theft.
  • Responsible for the coordination of deliveries of packages and mail.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scop of the job description.
 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED and prior security experience required. Must have NYS Security Guard License, and current 8 Hour Annual Certificate. Requires 1-3 years’ Experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Must be able to work weekends, overtime and cover vacation(s) of other guards; if necessary.
