Job Description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Middletown, NY
Salary: $20 to $25 hourly, depending on experience

Seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our busy department. This role involves assisting applicants, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining records, and providing excellent customer service to the public and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer phones and assist with questions and procedures
  • Prepare and distribute Planning and board agendas, minutes, and meeting materials
  • Process applications, permits, and related paperwork
  • Attend Planning and board meetings as needed
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe software
  • General knowledge of construction or code enforcement a plus
  • Experience with IPS program preferred
Schedule: M-F 8-4; 2 nights per month requried at planning board meetings (Town of Deerpark Town Hall)
 1-2 hrs of work  2nd & 4th Wedneday of the month
