Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Location: New Windsor
Salary: $24 to $25 hourly

Seeking Accounting Specialist to join a fast-paced accounting team. This role is heavily focused on high-volume invoice processing, handling 300+ vendor invoices daily, along with A/P and A/R functions. Success in this role requires exceptional speed, accuracy, and organization in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately enter 300+ vendor invoices daily (manual and EDI), maintaining speed and precision in a high-volume workflow
• Complete accounts payable check runs and perform daily reconciliation of A/P and A/R with internal systems and the general ledger
• Scan, apply, and reconcile incoming payments; manage billing issues, late fees, and account adjustments
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries professionally while performing statement reconciliations and supporting accounting operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or high-volume data entry experience (experience processing large invoice volumes strongly preferred)
• Strong proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while processing a high daily volume of work
