Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Location: Newburgh, NY
Salary: $24 to $25 hourly
Schedule: Part-time, 20 to 24 hourly weekly
Fast-paced accounting department seeking highly detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support high-volume daily financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in data-heavy environments, values accuracy and efficiency, and maintains professionalism when working with vendors, members, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
• Process 300+ vendor invoices daily, including manual and EDI invoices
• Complete accounts payable check runs and perform vendor statement reconciliations
• Reconcile A/P and A/R against the database and general ledger on a daily basis
• Apply, scan, and reconcile member payments; address billing issues and adjustments as needed

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in accounting preferred
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping (1–2 years preferred)
• Proficiency with standard office software and accounting systems
