Job Title: Purchasing Associate
Location: Monticello, NY
Compensation: $25 hourlyDepartment: Business Office / Finance Department

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Temporary Purchasing Associate to assist staff with purchasing process, quotes, and requisition creation. This position plays a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee process of requisition to Purchase Order, save documents and file accordingly.
  • Work with Accounts Payable on receiving and reconciling against Purchase orders.
  • Monitor internal system of open Requisitions and Purchase orders, ensuring the system is up to date and accurate.
  • Oversee all returns for items ordered by purchase order and obtain the appropriate credit from vendors.
  • Close out all purchase orders at the end of the year in coordination with the Controller and Assistant Controller.
  • Prepare end of year journal entries and maintain control of other accrued liabilities in regards to purchasing.

Qualifications: 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Proficient in the use of office productivity software, including spreadsheets and procurement management tools.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
