Job Title: Accountant
Location: Warwick, NY
Salary: $65,000+ (depending on experience)

Seeking an experienced Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing real estate portfolio. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities, managing month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, and supporting budgeting, audits, and property accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain general ledgers for multiple properties, prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable processing, vendor ledger management, and cash management activities across multiple entities.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, analyze budget-to-actual variances, and support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support audits, fixed asset tracking, property accounting activities, and collaborate with property managers and internal departments on financial matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with 5+ years of accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, general ledger management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, Yardi or similar ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple entities simultaneously with strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; real estate, construction, or multifamily housing experience is a plus.
