Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Finance who has strong Not for Profit experience along with a deep understanding of grant funding streams, reporting, budgeting and supervision.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Finalize the close of books monthly – including the preparation of journal entries and scanning related support into QuickBooks.
  • Assist in performing variance analysis on the monthly P&L; print budget vs. actual, year over year, and month over month, by funding source and by Agency.
  • Compile the financial package distributed to the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports to various funding sources

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills, a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Supervision of 4 to 5 staff.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 4-6 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with Quick Books, Excel, budgeting and General Ledger.
  • CPA/MBA a plus.
  • Non-Profit experience, a plus.
  • Public accounting experience, a plus
